That was the races this morning! Dave found out that the farm we like to take Katie to was having a MARINE CORPS weekend with a corn maze that was a marine corps theme - so we HAD TO GO.
It was a lot of fun despite Katie breaking down in the middle of the corn maze hysterically and me having to carry her the rest of the way out.
We had a good time and got our first apple cider of the season and some fresh peaches and had a picnic. It was lots of fun:) Katie didn't want to give up the map - so we actually let her decide which way to go for the first half hour or so - and then Mimi figured out there were clues along the way that told you which way to go, so we got out ok!
Tomorrow is Katie's first day of school and we are very excited. We are also in the process of starting to look at houses in the area - yes, yes - we have decided it's time to suck it up and put down some roots and buy a house so we don't have to worry about moving year to year - so we are going to our first Open House of what I am sure is going to be a long search to try to find a nice starter home for the 4 of us for the next few years.
I know, like we needed another project - we are busy enough as it is but we figure it's time to start looking and see what we can find and what we can afford, and give up rental living once and for all.
This is ben happy as a clam that he found all the trains while Katie was napping!
OH and I went through all of Ben's clothes and he is SET FOR FALL/Winter thanks to all the wonderful hand me downs we got from 2 awesome little boys:)
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - I still have NOT gotten peed on - I repeat - I still have NOT gotten peed on.
