Getting Excited

It's hot here - like really hot today and my friend called us and invited us over to play in the backyard with Katie's best friends Nicolette and Jason and the kids had a blast.

Sitting outside in a real yard is making me get SO EXCITED TO MOVE!! I have been scouring Craigslist for outside toys because I am so happy that we will have a backyard for Katie to run around and play in and she just had such a good time on the slides, and swings, and with the water table. I can't wait!!!

I think my 30th birthday present to myself will have to be outdoor toys to help me keep her entertained all summer long:) I also thing Dave's birthday present will be a grill for our backyard since we FINALLY will have our own!!!

Since the weather has changed so drastically, we are of course, totally unprepared clothing wise as all out stuff in our drawers is still for winter weather so today I had to scramble to find warm weather clothes for the kids!

Thank you Grammie for your last shipment of clothes, because those shorts sure came in handy today!!!! I had to go to the store and buy Ben a short sleeve, one piece outfit too because all he has for warm weather right now are onesies.... and that just won't do seeing as how his sister is so well dressed all the time. (when she's not insisting she stay in her pj's that is)
So... I guess the moratorium on clothes for the boy has been lifted for anyone who is wondering ;)

Size 0 -3 or 3 month warm weather stuff would be what he needs at the moment.

what else can I tell you...
OH yesterday Dave was hitting up the M&M stash and Katie walked in on him and caught him... so she said, "Hey, you took those out of my basket (Easter basket) so he had to give her some - it was kind of hysterical.

Other than that, we are getting ready for our first mini road trip to Mimi's house for one night and then we have to seriously start prepping for this move... then once we are settled, we have to plan for a road trip up to Maine to go visit and have Ben meet his family up there - unfortunately, it's for a memorial service for our Aunt Judy - but it's nice because we will get to be with everyone which we love.

So, it will be sort of busy around here for the next few weeks and you know Katie keeps me on my toes!

I'm hoping that Ben starts to take a bottle soon so that I have the ability to be out of the house and away from him for a few hours. (I'm dying to get back into my favorite gym classes - zumba and spinning)
So far, we have tried 3 different bottles and he has wholeheartedly refused all 3 - we bought a new type the other day and will try that again in a few days with fingers crossed!!!

That's it for us for now.

Happy Spring (finally)
