Coloring Easter Eggs

We are doing well here.


The days fly by between cooking, cleaning, rocking, feeding, coloring, tantrums, dress up (Katie wears her tutu pretty much daily at this point) bath time, bed time and feeding again....

Dave and I never get to really spend any time together at all aside from a short conversation here or there as Katie gets very upset when he isn't paying attention to her when he's home. We are giving her a few more weeks before we try to nip that in the bud as we figure her life has been turned upside down, so we'll let it slide a little longer.

We got a new stroller off of craigslist and so far I love it. It's for both of them. Ben's car seat goes in the front and Katie sits or stands in front of me. It's easy to push with one hand and folds up nicely and is crazy compact and light. Only downside is it takes up my whole trunk which makes me very sad and fearful of any road trips we might be taking.... As small as it is for a double stroller, it's so big compared to my old teeny tiny Maclaren.

Ben is sleeping pretty well at night. He wakes up 2 times and usually stays up one time for about 2 hours from one feeding until the next. So we are doing pretty well with sleep these days which is nice because it was rough there for awhile.

Katie is still napping although some days it's a battle. When we're alone and Ben is awake I have to put Katie in her crib first and then sit in the chair next to her and read to her while holding or feeding Ben. (talk about multi-tasking) She's taking it well considering that used to be our cuddle time and the only time she really allowed cuddling so that's good!

Other than that we tried to give Ben a bottle the other night and he 100% refused it... so we will have to try out a few different types so that we can be sure that I can be away from him for the gym or few and far between social outings I might have...

His 1 month appointment went really well. He is 9 lbs 7 ounces and grew 2 inches. The doctor said he looks perfectly healthy so we are happy about that!

I'm off to try to relax for a few as Dave just put Katie in for nap and Ben is sleeping in a swing we borrowed from a friend. (it's amazing and I don't know how I didn't have a swing like this with Katie)
