Updates:)

Hi Everyone,
I know we have been a bit scattered lately... just busy following around this little monster and now that she knows what the computer does... she is obsessed with it, so it's hard to post anything if she's awake cause she wants to type! We even gave her an old keyboard to play with.... but when she realized there was no screen and it didn't plug into anything... she got mad!

Kaitlyn had a doctors appointment right after we got back from Maine - her 15 month checkup! She did well - she remembered the doctor and as soon as she walked in the room, she got quiet and sullen and gave her some pretty nasty looks.... Then as soon as she touched her to start the exam... she started screaming and crying and it was just awful. But her recovery time was much faster than last time and she only had to get 2 shots.

The doctor said she is at a 2 year old level development wise because she asked me if she tried to say any words and I told her I thought she said between 20 and 40 - the doc said if that is true, than she's at a 2 year old level. I know 40 sounds like a lot of words, but I came home and listed them all out so I could count them and I can actually say that she has over 40 words in her vocabulary now and as you can see above.. she adds new ones all the time. Now they aren't entirely clear... but they are distinctive of each other - so that's the good thing.
I guess we aren't really surprised seeing how much I talk - it would make sense that my daughter would follow suit;)

We have also been trying to get her to socialize with more kids lately. The little girl downstairs (she's 2) comes up and they have play dates, and Kaitlyn is starting to finally play WITH her instead of next to her. The other day, they were playing in Kaitlyn's club house tent and screaming at each other... not angry screams... happy, we're having fun playing screams! Everything was fine until Kaitlyn got excited and tried to sit in Mia's lap... she does that with her toys and apparently her friends too! It was HYSTERICAL!

Kaitlyn wasn't really drinking a lot of water and I tried juice mixed with water, straight juice and even in desperation, chocolate milk to try to get her to drink more liquid (plus the doc said I should give her Miralax every once in awhile cause she has trouble pooping - so I thought I could hide the taste of it in choc. milk) She wouldn't drink it. None of it. My best friend said she was giving her son straws, so I tried it with Kaitlyn and that was the jackpot.. she loves drinking from straws, so I got her new sippy cups with soft straws in them and that's the only way I can get her to drink more water - but I'll take it!

Other than that, we have a busy few weeks ahead of us including Dave's 30th Birthday!
This past weekend, I went to our college's spring festival (translation: drinking and music fest) and was reminded why Kaitlyn will never go to college!!
