We just got back from a long weekend in Maine!
Katie was a rock star! She took all her naps and even slept at night (although she had to sleep with one of us) and she did very well being away from home. Grammie and Grampie did everything they could to make the trip as comfortable for us all as possible and it worked cause Katie did a great job being away from home and still staying on some sort of schedule.
We got to visit with our family which made us very, very happy. It snowed and rained the whole time we were there though, which made us very sad:(
Our new car came in very handy giving us extra space for the long journey through 6 states and taking 10 hours (with a few stops in between) Katie did such a great job that she got spoiled silly by everyone involved! New clothes, dvd's a dvd player, a new car, new fancy shoes from Canada and some very fun toys!
She only napped yesterday for about half an hour in the car on the way down to NJ - so last night was a little rough as she woke up screaming around 10:30 and we couldn't get her to settle down until around 11:30 - but she's taking a good nap now so we are hopeful that she will be fine tonight.
Now it's on to unpacking and gearing up for a very busy few weeks.
Thank you Metcalfe clan for a FABULOUS long weekend. When we are up to making the neverending trip again - we will be back:)
