Ba Ba

Ba Ba is the stuffed purple monkey behind Kaitlyn in this old picture from when she was actually little. Grampie gave it to her on one of our trips to Maine. We named him Ba Ba because at the time it was the only sound she was making - and it stuck. In fact, she might have been able to identify her Ba Ba by name before she gave in and said Ma Ma!!:)
(she seems to have a thing for purple monkeys as her first dancing/singing toy was a different stuffed monkey her Grumps bought her - way to go Grandpas!!_

He's a Webkinz... and if you don't know what that is - it's a stuffed animal that comes with an ID number that you can log into a website on the computer and play with an animated version of it.
So, Dave set up the account months ago.
It's lots of fun, you put it to bed, you bathe it, you feed it, etc - at first she didn't care about it at all cause she was a baby and babies don't care about computers... well... she quickly became obsessed.

She now stands at the computer chair and says BA BA??? PWEASE

So, every day - at least once a day (sometimes multiple times a day - we have to visit Ba Ba online.

Now... Katie sleeps with her Binkie and her Blankie and we were so happy because her blankies are interchangable - we have close to 2 dozen of them (some of which I dyed different colors to change it up a bit) and she doesn't care which one we give her as long as she has one.

She now also sleeps with Ba Ba.
First we put Ba Ba to bed - (Katie throws him in her crib) Then we read her books and she drinks her bottle - then I put her in her crib with Ba Ba and she grabs him by the neck in a choke hold and rolls over onto her stomach with a ninja type speed and goes to sleep.

So... that means we have to go out and buy back up Ba Ba's because we learned from our good friends whose child has a Bear Bear that has seen better days, that you MUST have replacements.

Only we are going one step beyond that, I am going to go out very soon and buy 1 or 2 back ups and then I am going to swap them out every couple of days so that any wear and tear will be even and she will never be able to tell which one is the original one in case she loses it...

Tomorrow I will try to take a better picture of Ba Ba - as we are still in the market for a replacement camera! Somehow we have pictures of almost everything but Katie and Ba Ba - so we shall do a photo shoot:)
