What a busy week!!!

Little Kaitlyn has had a busy first week of life!

From battling the cold weather to come home, to having many wondedrful visitors to learning how to eat and sleep and burp and her first doctors appointment.

She lost a whole pound from when she was born and so we had to take her for a weigh in Thursday. We are happy to report that she gained 4 ounces after 2.5 full days of breast milk so we are very, very happy about that. The next weigh in is next thursday to be sure her progress continues.

We are having an amazing time learning all about our daughter and can already see so many changes in her. One of our favorite things about Kaitlyn is that she sneezes in multiples (3's) just like daddy!!!

Mom and dad are doing well although mom has developed some hives so we are going to watch them closely.
Daddy was a trooper and let mommy sleep as much as possible last night between feedings to help them get better. (hes napping now)

Grammie and Grandpa from maine are on their way down for a visit today. We are glad they can visit and help us out with her for a few days....they get to spoil her and we get more naps:)

Here is a picture of me about 1.5 hours after she was born. You can't really tell but I'm taking a pic of myself in the recovery room after all our family abandoned me to go see her at the nursery!!!! I got wheeled in to the room, the nurse asked them to step out so she could get me in bed and i mentioned she was in the nursery and they all ran out while waving hello on the way out! It was comical to say the least!!!

Staff Sergeant (he's going to need to pick a realistic name - we are pusing for grumps instead) is head over heels for this little girl and can't seem to get enough of her!!!
Mimi is a pro - too bad she won't fit like that for long:(
We will update more later - she can't wait to meet you all - we get clearance to travel and go in public places in 4 - 6 weeks.

Staff Sergeant is NOT a difficult name. She will learn to say it with Force and Volume and love for her mommy's cool dad.
