Today we took Kaitlyn in for her one year check up at the doctor. She had just been at the doctor about 2 weeks ago to rule out an ear infection and apparently she remembered going because as soon as we got into the exam room - she started crying.
Hysterically... like hyperventilating.
She didn't stop until after the exam was over and she was back outside. She clung to Dave like she was being ripped away from us forever and it broke both of our hearts.
The good news is that she got an A on all things baby. She is 29 inches and 21 pounds. She can officially have everything but shellfish to eat now - and when she gets more teeth that will make things easier, but so far we have started giving her more of our food which she seems to love.
She has to go back to get a blood test to check for iron and that has to be done at a lab. I have NO idea how we are going to handle that as I can only imagine how scary that will be for her the way she was screaming at our teeny tiny, sweet looking doctor today just for listening to her lungs....
She cried in the car on the way home (she VERY rarely cries in the car) and got to watch lots of Elmo to cheer her up. By the time Elmo's song started, she was better - so let's hope for a good night.
Catch you all later:)

Did I ever mention how much I love that Kaitlyn girl? Why, I love her almost as much as I love her mom. Okay, so I lover her more, but not by much and that's 'cus her mom has a foul mouth. You two have surpassed my high expectations of excellent parenting. Keep up the good work! I love yooz "the mucho".
